Project Performing Arts (PPA) provides a vibrant, dedicated space in the Harlem community for children and teens to explore, discover, and experience the transformative power of the arts. Through immersive classes in dance, theater arts, and West African drumming, PPA empowers young people to unlock their potential, express themselves boldly, build confidence, and discover their creative voices. Our professional teaching artists deliver deeply meaningful, age-appropriate instruction directly to the local community, enriching both unconventional community spaces and our comprehensive Saturday programming. Grounded in creativity, community, and connection, our skill-based curriculum extends far beyond the classroom walls. Students learn through active participation, collaboration, and performance—growing not only as exceptional artists, but as confident individuals who understand the power of their own imagination.
